So...long time no post as usual. Been crazy busy for what seems like forever now. Too much sick riding lately to waste time on a post. Today I had a guy in a Jeep slam on his brakes so his buddy could throw his can at me while I was out for a spin. It'd been almost two years since i'd had anything thrown at me while riding. What's with people in Jeeps throwing energy drinks and beer cans at people? The phrase "it's a Jeep thing" comes to mind.

It hit 60 in the valley today. 40's and 30's up in the mountains. Ridiculous. Had to stop and put a shell on at the tops of the mountains and take it off at the bottoms. The roads were normal, the snowmobile trails are nice and hard packed with some slush on top to churn and burn, and the dirt roads are awesome!-about two inches of ice covered by a few inches of snow. Sweet day to get out and spin.

NOT THE STOPPER FINGER!
NOT THE STOPPER FINGER!
Was lubing my chain pre-ride like I always do and the rig slipped/shifted sending the rotating chaining to meet my finger and it sucked my finger right in. The worst part was I had to complete the rotation to get it out and the tooth went straight through my finger-I heard the nail crack before I even felt the pain. Typing hard...can't believe I have never done this in so many years of riding, nor have I ever heard of it happening to anyone. What a dumb ass injury. Hard to get a decent macro because the finger is shaking so bad lol. What a bummer. No mtb today for me :(

Springish
It's getting a little too springish around here. Shorts and short sleeve type springish. Pretty excellent conditions for the most part @ Pine Hill Park but i'm hoping we get at least one more storm.

New Personal Record
Yup... Made it to day five of no shaving. Personal record. Yeah...lame. You can almost tell now lol. Chaffed like hell though on my chin strap so it's back to normal tomorrow. Man was it liberating though, I bet I'm feeling the same sense of rebellious pride as the Chics that used to burn the their bras.
Been some crazy weather lately dipping down into the low 20's at night and hitting upper 50's by mid afternoon. I'd much rather spin in 20's than 50's so I'm hoping winter comes back later this week. Found this cool rock this morning.

What?
What could possibly be better than a man selling Burgers in the parking lot after a ride? A man selling Cheese Burgers of course! I spent about a half hour towards the end of my spin today convincing myself I wasn't really smelling Burgers, but that I just wanted one so badly I thought I was smelling them.
Than to my wonderment when I emerged from the woods I found none other than a man selling Cheeseburgers! It just doesn't get any better then that.
